A.  Shiraishi – Room 10

My how the summer has flown by and the new school year has already begun!  I am excited to get to know the brand new first graders in Room 10 as well as working with their wonderful parents to make this a wonderful school year.  My hope for this school year is that all the children will have FUN learning through hands-on and interactive activities that are appealing to all types of learners.

We will be cultivating our math and reading skills which are fundamental to becoming lifelong learners.  We will be doing lots of different types of writing to become fantastic writers.  Also, we will be exploring the world we live in through various social studies and science activities.  This year, I am looking forward to incorporating our new Promethean Board into the curriculum, too.
