Dear Parents,

Welcome to Kindergarten in room K-3!  I am so happy to have your child in our class!  I look forward to an exciting year with them!  We have much to learn and discover!  Together we will have fun understanding how things work!  We will learn about the alphabet and how letters turn into words and words into sentences.  We will learn about numbers and how it relates to us.  We will explore with science and social studies as well.  Together with our resource teachers, your child will have a well-rounded education here at Hongwanji Mission School! 

I have been very fortunate to have been teaching here at HMS for 8 years now.  Before coming to HMS, I taught at Noelani Elementary School for about 13 years.  All but 2 of my years of teaching have been in kindergarten!  I love teaching kindergarten!  I think that we see the most growth in the children!  Their thoughts and ideas and energy keep me on my toes!  I love it!

A little personal information about me…  I have 2 children.  My son is in high school this year!  He is a freshman and is attending Roosevelt High School.  My daughter is in 5th grade here at HMS.  She has been here since the 3 year old preschool class.  I feel that the education she has received here has been incredible!  She has enjoyed every grade!  So, I truly believe that HMS is the best choice I have made as a parent and an educator!
